Viva la Free Planet!
Upcoming signing | Amor en español | Free Planet volume 1 | Sneak peek?
We’re only a week out from the comic shop release of the year’s best comic: Free Planet hits comic shops on November 26! Keep reading for details on where to order, a release day signing, recent love for the book, and a sneak peek at one of volume 1’s extras.
Free Planet is one of the most critically acclaimed books of the year, beloved by a murderer’s row of creators, jaw-droppingly gorgeous, and as complex as your favorite novel; there’s simply nothing else like Free Planet.
Don’t you dare miss a single issue; climb aboard Jed Dougherty and my geopolitical space opera:

Release day signing!
In an effort to crosspolinate our distinct but compatible audiences, Jed and I are joining cartoonist Gabriel Hardman for a Double Feature Signing at Collector’s Paradise Pasadena on Wednesday, November 6 from 5-7pm!
This is going to be a special one for me, as it takes place at my home comic book shop, the one I visit each and every week. So, come snag a copy of Free Planet signed by Jed and me both, as well as Gabe’s newest, Arcadia!
¿Hablas español?
The gang over at podcast Perdidos En El Éter recently dedicated an episode to Free Planet. Only problem? It’s in Spanish and, despite having lived in Los Angeles for 13 years, I have, to my immense embarrassment, not bothered to learn the language. Fortunately, mi hermano Julio listened to the episode and confirmed that they said very nice things about our book!
The Good Doctor speaks
While single issues of Free Planet are the only place you’ll find the “Expansion Protocols” arc (issues #7-8) and Dr. Aldous Foyroushi’s fan-favorite, in-world letters pages, the volume 1 collection contains a few extra surprises, one of which I will partially blow for you, right here, right now:
Free Planet volume 1 features a brand-new foreword by Lutherian historian Dr. Aldous Foyroushi! Check out the first few grafs up above, then, if you haven’t already, holy moly, what are you waiting for?! Go preorder your copy of Free Planet volume 1 at an independent bookstore, your local comic shop, or my local comic shop!
That’s it for me this week. If you’re in the Los Angeles area, I hope to see you at Collector’s Paradise Pasadena on November 26. And if you’re not in the LA area, I’d still like for you to make a good faith effort but I’ll be understanding if you can’t make it.
Aubrey
